InstaDub allows you to upload video to Instgram. Due to the limits on how the videos can be uploaded, Instadub can help you out by cutting the video into chunks and linking them in the captions, watermarking the video with your logo / website URL and even use a frame from the video as your cover image.

Loading Videos into Instadub

To specify the videos to upload you enter a directory containing your videos, or enter the file path of a meta file that will specify the file paths and meta values for each video.

Meta File

The meta file should be formated as: filepath % caption % cover image path

Config settings

Your config folder allows you to specify a few advanced settings that we haven't bothered to create controls for :-)

Open your config directory via HELP > CONFIG

The following config files can be created

nologs.txt This will stop the program logging.

do_not_cancel_failed_in_row.txt The search actions will stop if you fail to process a single item successfully in about 10 tries. It is assumed if it fails this many times in a row, something is wrong. Your account / the program. To avoid hammer the site's server and perhaps risking your account, the action will stop. If you don't want this safety check, turn it off. Not recommended

Image Repost

Image Repost

Image reposting is where you search for images on Instagram, download them then upload them to your Instagram account. As with all image uploading modules, you can add a watermark, you can overlay text over the full image, you can tag users, mention users etc etc

Specifying the images to repost is done via the standard InstaDUB search controls. More information on this in the Search Actions section, but you can select a predefined search from the dropdown control, or build a Custom Search. Additionally, you can enter a filepath of pre-defined images to repost. To specify a list of images to repost, you need to create a text file and specify each image, one per line. You can specify the image via the IMAGE ID (preferred) or the URL.

React

Brand new feature to InstaDUB version3, the "react" module. This modules allows you to react to users who react with your account or posts. Someone "followed" your account, you can react by following them back, sending a direct message, liking / commenting their posts or posting an image based on the users avatar or recently posted images in a collage. Likewise, if someone likes or comments on one of your images you can react to them.

From the screen above, you can specify whether you want to react to follows, likes and comments. Then click the Setup button to specify just how you would like to react. Don't forget to specify how often to check for new reactions to your account / media. Depending on how much traffic your account gets, or how often you want to react you may want to set this value up or down

Direct Share Images

The direct share images module is very similar to the direct message module. The only difference is that rather than send a text message to the user, you send an image.

You can create a search to find users to share your images to, or provide a list of users (via a file, enter the filepath one user line line - IDs preferred).

Standard Search Action Parameters

Random Pause:

Specify a minimum and maximum value, after actioning an item the action will pause for a random amount between the specified minimum and maximum values.

Max Actions / Max items:

The number of items to process within the action.

Upload Image Settings

Watermark Text

When uploading an image, you can specify text to be written onto the image. The text can be written to any of the 4 corners, or a bar can be added to the top or bottom of the image and the text written in the bar.

Tag Users / Caption Mentions

InstaDUB can tag users in the image and add user mentions (@username) to the caption. This is performed via the same control.

Enter your comments ONE PER LINE, each line is a separate comment. Your comments will be posted in sequence. If typing a multi line comment on a single line is just blowing your mind, this talk of line breaks, new lines, <br> n are just confusing, don't worry help is at hand. Click the ADD SINGLE link, and you can now add the a single comment as you want it, over multiple lines. InstaDUB will then add it as a single line to the multi line multi comment control

Sending a direct message is a great way to be in direct contact with a user, but be careful it is also the easiest to abuse / spam and annoy. For specifying your messages, it all works the same as the commenting module, so take a look at that section just above

Adv Pre Actions

Pre actions are actions you perform on the account or image before performing the main action. For example you can specify to follow the account before reposting the image, you can specify to like the 4 most recent images of the account before. For more information on Adv Pre-Actions, please see that section.

Accounts

The accounts tab allows you to view all your accounts and create Verify Login and Verify Profile actions

Verify Login

This action will verify if the action can log in. If the account cannot login, it could be it is banned, the proxy doesn't work, your details are wrong or perhaps you are having network difficults

Verify Profile

This will check if the public profile of your account is viewable. Usually if this check fails your account is banned (or you have given the wrong details)

Ignore Acc Proxy

Check this box if you want to run the above Verify actions WITHOUT the account proxy, it will use the local proxy instead and can help indicate if the proxy of the account is the reason for failed logins

Follow

Adv Pre Actions

Pre actions are actions you perform on the account or image before performing the main action. For example you can specify to follow the account before reposting the image, you can specify to like the 4 most recent images of the account before. For more information on Adv Pre-Actions, please see that section.

The three pre actions that are possible are:

  • Follow
  • Like
  • Comment

For like and comments, you can specify to process more than 1 item. Selecting 5, will mean you like the 5 most recent images of the user.
