Error: Unable to connect to the remote server

I can't run any actions on my vps. I get * ERROR LOGIN: Unable to connect to the remote server
This doesn't happen on my local pc. Why is this happening?

Sorry again, the reason this happened is because i forgot to authorize the new IP for my vps.

I have a different issue now though. One of my account can't login even though every detail is correct.
It says failed to validate captcha, even though i have captcha service enabled.

I take that report back, that account is working now after trying sometime later.

Just to decode this in case it helps you or others

1) goto the login page
2) posted details, but login failed, checking the page sent back from tumblr to see if they want you to solve a captcha
3) captcha found on page, trying to solve
4) "solved" the captcha, posted to tumblr, but still failed to login
5) log out failed


If you are using DBC, I had issues with them last week. I think they are testing out an OCR solving program, as their success rate went for to about 10% for me. I checked the captcha images sent to them and their results and they were getting it wrong, even for easy captchas. The errors were simlar to those made by OCR programs.

I contacted and asked them about it, they said one money, did something to my account and I was back up to 80% success rate. I guess they switched my account over to "human solving only"

So to reiterate, captcha login, relies on the captcha service solving the captcha correctly, which is, of course, outside of my control

Sorry for the late reply, but i just tested 6 different catpchas on DBC. Only 1 was incorrectly solved.

How did you test their captchas?

in code, image downloaded path and retured words from DBC, then looked at them both.

Not something you will be able to do easily.

images saved to your temp folder
DBC returned text should be in the logs

you do one at a time with a pause and watch the locations I suppose...
