Processing Tab/ Possible Threads
Hey there Martin,
Good day to you.
Can you provide me a few for simultaneously possible max threads on the processing/ action tab please?
Currently it is set to 100 max. 130-150 would be perfect for my usage of SCM.
I know i can run 150 simultaneously actions in one instance (right click/run action now)
but this is not working for scheduled actions, especially if you already have 100 running actions.
I just need a few more to keep it always in one instance of SCM and to save some ram as well.
Regards

Re: Processing Tab/ Possible Threads
Why do you need so many threads? 9/10 when people think they do, they don't really

Re: Processing Tab/ Possible Threads
I'm the 1/10
Trust me Martin, i woudn't ask you...
I have 250+ permanent actions (schedules) + daily actions
I mess with this since 2 month and this is my bottleneck!
2 instances simply use too much ram after a few days,
and all scheduled actions don't start automatically
after reach the limit of 100
Maybe you can give us the opportunity to unlock more threads over the settings tab?

Re: Processing Tab/ Possible Threads
Add to your config dir:
%appdata%\rootjazz\soundcloud manager\config\
the file:
max_proc_threads.txt
Specify the max threads in that file, nothing else, just a number.
Program will read this and let you set it higher
The next update will include this feature. I shall let you know when it is ready.

Martin

Re: Processing Tab/ Possible Threads
Thank you very much Martin. Much appreciated. I've send you some $$ for your hard work.
Same email I use in the forum so you can assign it.

Did exactly what you told me,
max_proc_threads.txt
just a "150" in there
placed in - %appdata%\rootjazz\soundcloud manager\config\
updated the app but still 100
Even if i write "150" in the processing tab, it jumps back to 100
any suggestions?

Very strange it required 2 restarts. Cannot possible think why, unless you didn't update or didn't restart the first time, but you wouldn't say you did if you didn't, so it's not that.Just A User wrote: ↑Mon Mar 01, 2021 6:41 pm STOP

But if it's working, it's working and that's all that matters

Re: Processing Tab/ Possible Threads
Possible if i lost my internet connection exactly at this time the app opens, happened the first time, not sure if this explain it.
max_proc_threads
my first thought was, maybe I did a mistake there, but i copy and paste it so that was not the mistake.
from yesterday until today without any problems
also really cool that the app can handle so many threads in one instance.
