So if I make a new instance (to replace another instance with the same accounts) on the same machine, the new instance will have the log data from the other instance?

No, you have to copy the database folder over


goto

%appdata%\rootjazz\

find the instance with old data (default )
%appdata%\rootjazz\twitter
%appdata%\rootjazz\twitterinstancename

and copy it to the new instance
%appdata%\rootjazz\twitterNewinstance


If you don't have the new instance yet, open it from the app, then close it, then copy the database over
