Is it possible to re-direct the SCM database to a different location?
One issue is with limited space ($$$) on Virtual Machines - and the fact that the SCM Database grows quite large with time (and lots of accounts).
It would be great to be able to move to Database(s) to a different hard drive location and then re-direct SCM to that location.
Possible?
Alternatively, can the database be put into a Ram Disk?
Thanks!

Not possible I'm afraid, not via SCM anyway. It is your application data folder.
You can tell windows to move it to a different location though
where %appdata% points to.
As to how, I cannot remember, try googling, but IIRC, it isn't so straight forward and may end up with strange behaviour, but it is possible (I have had both outcomes when doing it myself)

I have made a note to look into the possibility of specifying this, but busy today as it is Monday and Monday is always busy from teh weekend. Remind me mid / end of the week if you still need it
