Database lost, how to manually scrape & Whitelist

Post by snowleopard »

For reasons that are beyond me at the moment, my original database is gone. Wiped, deleted, vanished by the gods.... :(

That said, the show must go on as they say.

Here is my issue. I need to pick up where I left off, however SCM is fresh, meaning it has no idea who I've already left track comments on and who I've messaged.

What is the best way to manually scrape that info, so that I can then load it into the Whitelist?

In particular I would like to whitelist:
- Sent a private message
- Left a track comment

Is it possible to scrape these lists? I may just be tired, but I am not seeing an obvious way to do it.

Thanks!

ehh top of my mind I cannot remember. If it is possible to scrape the lists of who you commented on, it would be from the SCRAPER tab

Then as to how you set a whitelist, this may not be possible, I will have to check and let you know

There is no way to scrape who you have PMd though.

Martin,

Would it at all be possible to add a Scrape option to Scrape everyone you have sent a message to?

You almost have something similar with the messaging module that you added recently. Would it be possible for that to pull ALL messages instead of just "new" messages and have it output into a list?

This would be amazing!! Otherwise it looks like I will have to go through several thousand messages by hand and manually write down each URL.

Thank you so much!

Is it feasibly possible, perhaps (am not sure). depends how many messages SC stores and for how long.

If it does, the next issue is finding time for a very specific custom feature. Remind me next week sometime and will take a quick look if something quick can be put together (the quicker it will be the more likely it will be)

Oh one thought just came to my mind.

Does SCM process Private Messaging lists chronologically or randomly?

If chronologically, I could just look at the last person messaged on the list and then delete their URL and everyone proceeding.

That would make sure I don't send duplicate messages.

*Crossing fingers it process is sequentially*

Thanks!
