Organizing large numbers of accounts
Hello again!
Quick question here.
Would it be possible to implement some type of a system for organizing large number of accounts?
I'm loving the newly separated accounts page, this is very useful!
Perhaps there could be a system similar to Folders, allowing you to have groups of accounts split up into various categories?
This would make it easier to keep track of - for instance, one group could be focused on Techno, whereas another is focused on Chill and Ambient.
Just a thought!
Thank you

Btw, I totally meant to post this to the SCM Support Forum, not general. Possible to move this post? Sorry about that!

Re: Organizing large numbers of accounts
you can assign account TAGS then filter the view to show accounts with / without specified tags
Or you can run separate instances, whiich is a a completely separate database per running instance of SCM
For some info on custom db instances, check the thread

Re: Organizing large numbers of accounts
Actually one question, if I have multiple databases on one computer, can they run simultaneously?
My guess here is no, as you would have to close one to open the other, correct?
In which case Tags may be the way to go...
Thanks!

yes they can run simultaneously.
The program will run completely separately, not knowing anything about the other instances- that is the point

Just following up on this actually...you can assign account TAGS then filter the view to show accounts with / without specified tags
I see that you can assign Tags in the Account Window (right click,"Multi Accs Tag Append" [enter one per line])
However, I don't see a way to Filter the view in the Processor module based on Tag. I must be missing it...?
Thanks!

Re: Organizing large numbers of accounts
On that note - would it be possible to add the Tag Filter to the Processing Module?
That would be amazing, as then we could do double sorting. For instance, sort by account and then sort by date created.
Don't know about you guys but my processing module is pretty difficult to dig through, mostly due to many repeating actions and lots of accounts.
Just a thought / if it's easy?!
