My scraped proxies do not work

Post by martin@rootjazz »

There is a bit of proxy information on the forum

http://rootjazz.com/forum

and knowledge base
http://rootjazz.com/support/kb

so search and get an understanding of what proxies are. And why public proxies a crap (slow / fail alot / don't post / drop....)

public proxies by defintion are slow, prone to failure or out right do not work

the program just scrapes listed proxies from website (view this list from the SETTINGS tab, click PROXY SITE URLS button.

A text file opens, listing websites that list public proxies.

There are free and available to all to use (and abuse). And they are, heavily.

Thus the proxies listed on these sites may not be currently working, or were working but not are full etc.

So either you need to do some verification of proxies before (a good way is to do a PLAYS INCREASE routine with all scraped proxies then check the log file
HELP > LOGS > VIEW > xxxx_proxy-success.txt

that lists all proxies that worked for playing a track on soundcloud

Also use the ANON verification option in the proxy control, or ANON-POST

The more you test / filter the proxies the better your list will be.

As with most things, the more you put in the more you get out
