Multiple actions

Post by lucas »

Hi,

After turning off and on TJ I have found that my actions are now doubled or even quadruple. Tumblr just ban some of my blogs because they follow and like 1000s posts lol :D
Is there a reason why it is happening?

Also something is not right with processor and number of threads, for example I have like 50 actions that should start before 5:00 server time, now it is 5:10, I have "number of threads" set to 10 but only 5 actions are proceed at the moment, I have to increase number of threads to 20 or even 30 to see 10 processing actions. Maybe this hes something to do with these doubled actions?

OK, I have found that thread: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1610

New version installed, "do not cache" checked and looks like it is working. We will see.

Also it looks like usage of ram is lower, right now it is 500 - 700 mega per instance was 1,2 - 1,5 giga.

the multiple actions issues is not related to do not cache.

do not cache will reduce your MEMORY footprint, but may increase IO / CPU.

For install bases of many accounts /actions, do not cache may improve.

Another way would be to utilise custom DB instances

For some info on custom db instances, check the thread

Right now I have about 25 accounts per instance. Like + reblog + follow + post images. After two days I had to restart most of the instances because of "out of memory" issue, good thing is that I do not see doubled actions :)

Maybe it is better idea to group instances by action not by accounts?

Like:
Like instance
Follow instance
Image post instance
Reblog instance...

25 accounts should not be causing out of memory!

Is that with do not cache?

Can you explain what you are doing with those accounts

Each account have two actions for follow and two actions for like repeat every 24h + each account have 5 post image actions repeat every 24h, post image action is adding about 10 pictures every time with description from catalogs with 2-3k images each.

And yes, "do not cache"is checked.

Just want to chip in here that it sounds like you have the same problems as me, which for me also still exists.

I even have out of memory crashes with only 6 accounts and do not cache is enabled.

your post image actions. Are you posting the SAME pictures each time, or do you load it in with a large list, then have it repeat over that list?

If run over a big list, how big is the list (roughly)
10s, 100s, 1000s?

Not meaning to hijack the thread and am not sure who you are asking, but I have one folder with 15,000 images that are used by the 6 accounts with "unique uploads only" enabled and have it set to post 1 +/- 2 images per hour per account.

It appears the issue if your large selection of images. This needs to be looked into.

In the meanwhile, you will have to use alot less images. Try with 2000, just to see if you still get memory issues, if not. Then that is the cause
