Lack of demand unfortunately. Mixcloud added strong anti bot measures. The owner Mat did reach out a few times to make his displeasure known. Of course they could be bypassed with time (i.e. cost) but the sales of the program did not justify it.
If a program is going to cost (n) to make and (m) to maintain but sales do not cover that, the program is just not viable as a business going forward.
The only way that would be viable is if people were prepared to pay a subscription fee. But we have always been single fee, one time payment, life time license. Both payment types have their merits and downsides. The downside of one time fee is, you need minimum sales to maintain a program which subscription fees don't need. Subscriptions have downsides that customers need to pay more over time...
