Tumbling Jazz on Windows XP and IE8

Hello

Is there any way to play around Windows XP and IE8 problem?
Looks like Tumblr doesn't support IE8 anymore, so Tumbling Jazz not posting(program works well, but not posting, reblogging, etc...)
aswell on my old Windows XP.

I run multiple copies on multiple VPS already, but will be good to have it working on local laptop.

Any ideas?

Your version of IE doesn't effect the program. So that isn't the issue.

Submit your logs and I will see if I can find out why it isn't working for you

I will check your logs.

The program *replicates* a browser via raw HTTP Requests, so the browser is set to a random Useragent string.

Will reply when have more info after looking at logs

Попытка установить соединение была безуспешной, т.к. от другого компьютера за требуемое время не получен нужный отклик, или было разорвано уже установленное соединение из-за неверного отклика уже подключенного компьютера

Can you translate the above?

Many issues seems to be occuring with the network layer of your OS (once the code leaves TJ and is sent to your machine to handle). It could be something needs updating, am not sure to be honest.

You probably should be thinking about updating WinXP though, considering not even Microsoft are supporting it any more, means you are wide open to new virus / malware that get created after recent patches get reverse engineered and exploited

I will upgrade XP to Windows 7 this week, so don't bother.

Anyway the problem started right after tumblr droped IE 8 support some months ago.

Translation 1:

Base connection closed: Unexpected error during transmission
inner exception: IOException
inner: Unexpected EOF or 0 byte from the transport stream.

Translation 2:
Can't connect to remote server

A connection attempt failed because another computer did not respond properly in the required time

Those error messages are strange as they are coming from the OS after TJ sends it's commands to the OS to perform. So perhaps it is linked (somehow I don't understand) to IE8...

But if you are updating this week, that should fix everything as am not aware of any issues with Windows7 at this time
