Hey
just like to know if this works or leads to ban.
NOW: my domain posted in tumblr - redirected to affiliate link
What I want to do, instead of hammering my VPS, I like to shorten the affiliate link with bitly, so the traffic leads diectly to the affiliate offer (NSFW). Is this a safe way?
thx
Eric

Sadly, nothing is safe with Tumblr these days. Sooner or later they will ban you. From my experience you cannot put your offer directly without using a landing page. For example if you try putting a clickthrough link that points to a javascript this will not work.

What I mean is bitly link - goes directly to offer. It is only posted once then never

I don't know if that will work in practise, however it is quite simple to resolve a bitly link to the actual page by following the redirect.
Whether tumblr does or not, I don't know, but if I was running tumblr, I would follow all URL redirect services to find out where the link is ultimately pointing to.

Do not post affiliate links, I just post my sites' links and it is fine.

Do you post direct links to your site or via bitly?j4ck wrote:Do not post affiliate links, I just post my sites' links and it is fine.
