Not following correctly

Post by alesana »

I scraped a new list of accounts for my blogs to follow a couple days ago and started a process for it. I noticed I wasn't gaining followers so I checked the log and it turns out none of them are working. It is saying the same thing over and over again, not succeeding once. It attempts to follow http://.tumblr.com (no username attached).

The .txt file with all the accounts is the same format as the last process, which worked fine.

The format is as is (example):

Code: Select all

http://be-equanimous.tumblr.com/
http://be-free-be-happy.tumblr.com/
http://be-free-is-free.tumblr.com/
http://be-free-surfing.tumblr.com/
http://be-free-without-wings.tumblr.com/
http://be-frees.tumblr.com/
http://be-fuckingawesomee.tumblr.com/
http://be-gentle-and-fuck-hard.tumblr.com/
http://be-good-for-sir.tumblr.com/
http://be-h-a-p-p-y-again.tumblr.com/
http://be-happy-and-smile-00.tumblr.com/
http://be-happy-living-a-dream.tumblr.com/
http://be-incandescent.tumblr.com/
http://be-innocent.tumblr.com/
http://be-insane-baby.tumblr.com/
http://be-kind-to-nature.tumblr.com/
http://be-legendary15.tumblr.com/
http://be-leza.tumblr.com/
...and it goes on. It's a very large file (13.7MB) I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I left the usernames in because it is just a small portion of the list I have to follow

The log comes out as is:

Code: Select all

Pausing for: 40
Paused for: 34
Loaded account: bibic**********
* IGNORE: Do not process as processed already: http://*********.tumblr.com/
Loaded account: putit**********
Attempt follow:
Non URL passed in: build URL
Attempt follow: http://.tumblr.com
Action on username:
* FAILED: Couldn't get username from URL :http://.tumblr.com
* FAILED:
Pausing for: 49

can you submit your full logs, I would expect there to be more data to help me locate the issue

HELP > LOGS > SUBMIT

then send your logs ID - the first 4 numbers is sufficient (displayed after successful uploading of logs)

Your logs are huge. It would take me hours to download them (I have a slow connection)

Can you perform the following

1) HELP > LOGS > VIEW
2) Delete all files in the folder that opens
3) Re-perform the action you are having trouble with (run the action single threaded and only process the single action in the processor)
4) Resubmit your logs (HELP > LOGS > SUBMIT)

It will be quicker and the logs will be more clear for me to diagnose your issue

Thanks

New log submit number is 5784*. I was also posting images at the moment so there are extras but not so many.

does your file contain lots of empty lines?

I believe these are trying to be processed.

Remove empty lines from your file and it should work correct (next update will also detect empty lines and ignore)

Hmmm would be a simple solution. Unfortunately there are no empty lines in the txt file (except at the very end there is one after all the content).
It has been days now that my blogs have not followed any new blogs.. this is a pretty big dent in growth.

When it says ignore because it's already followed, is that accurate? I scraped a list about 5 times as large as the last list so I can't imagine that it's already followed everyone it's attempting.

EDIT: It says (I posted a picture because for some reason the text is not copying from my VPS)

Image

But I checked the account loaded that is directly above beboz1.tumblr.com and it was not folllowing beboz1.

I changed it to one account, 1 thread, and it still brings up the blanku url error after every legit attempt however instead of stating it already followed the user it succeeds.

Is 22 threads too many, to where it would fail? I am running 44 accounts, 22 threads, 400,000 blogs in a txt file.

Ok, so if there are no empty lines in the file, it would appear my ID at the issue is wrong. But the log line where it says
Attempt follow:
IT should be

That comes straight from your list (iterate over the lines). Nothing is done on the line before it hits that log. So why it is empty.... that is the question

EDIT: It says (I posted a picture because for some reason the text is not copying from my VPS)
This can happen if the rdpclip application stops running on the VPS

If that's the case, use Task Manager to kill and restart the rdpclip.exe process on local and remote machines.

But I checked the account loaded that is directly above beboz1.tumblr.com and it was not folllowing beboz1.
you have misunderstood how SHARED ACTIONS work.

If you are performing a shared action with 100 accounts. None of the accounts will follow another user if ANY OF THE OTHER accounts in the shared action previously followed that user. This stops you following the same user with multiple of your accounts.

If you want to follow the same user, you must NOT use shared actions

As to your issue, I will get a new build for you which should either a) fix the issue b) give more info

Oh great thanks for the tip on copying and pasting. Here is my new log

Code: Select all

* IGNORE: Do not process as processed already: http://*******.tumblr.com/
Loaded account: ***********
* ERROR: nothing passed in to process
* FAILED:
Pausing for: 41
Paused for: 39
Loaded account: ***********
* ERROR: nothing passed in to process
* FAILED:
Pausing for: 44
Paused for: 40
Loaded account: *********
* IGNORE: Do not process as processed already: http://*******.tumblr.com/
Loaded account: ****************
* ERROR: nothing passed in to process
* FAILED:
Pausing for: 45
Now that you reminded me how shared action works, I remember that it works like that I don't know what I was thinking :P
