V3 Not Starting Up

Post by givemeaname »

Hi, V3 worked the first time I installed it, then when I tried to run it again the program shows in my task manager but never loads. I tried to uninstall everything, then reinstall it and can get it to run again once more, but then the same thing happens again. Just a weird issue I'm running into

It looks like it works up to V3.003 for me, anything above does this.

make sure you are uptodate

https://soundcloudmanager.com/updatetesting.html

Click the Windows / Start button (or press the Windows key on your keyboard)
In Windows 7 you can type straight into the search box, in XP click run first
Type
%appdata%\rootjazz\soundcloud manager\logs

delete all files

then try and start app, then go back to the above folder, and send me the contents as a zip file

Code: Select all

thanks for letting me know. You should be able to WHITELIST the program within the AV to avoid this happening again

Just for others reading this, it is known as a FALSE POSITIVE.

AV programs do not only detect viruses, but look for heuristics. Virus makers try and hide their code, so AV cannot find it. App devs also try and do the same to stop people cracking their software. AV software will flag up apps for this (especially small indie devs who don't have the funds to pay the AV extortion to whitelist their programs :(
