For some reason I've had 2 bans for following users in the space of about 4 days, I have not been following a large number of users so I'm not sure why it's happening.
The bot followed 62 people with a 20 - 40 second delay before getting blocked by twitter
This happened about 4 days ago as well for a similar amount
I should also mention the account is 5+ years old
Is there any way to avoid this? Should I maybe try to keep it to under 50/60 users per hour?
How to avoid bans
Re: How to avoid bans
That's really fast. Try an interval of 40 to 90 seconds between following

Re: How to avoid bans
I would say, decide how many you want to follow per day, then divide them over the day.
so 100 follows over 24 overs would be 1 follow every 864 seconds.
A pause of 864 is excessive admittedly, close to 1 every 15 minutes. But a random pause of 60-600 would give us a big random between followers and allow us to hit the limits easily
