[Bug/error] Posting Module Posting more than Allotted Max

Hello Martin!

Simple bug I've come across lately.

I have several posting modules that include carousels (albums). I set the posting modules with these to MaxItems:1, FluctuateMaxItemsTodo:0 for posting.

When the module runs, I expect it to post once for the day (as I have it set).

However, it posts 2-3 posts when the module selects a carousel post (album posts), instead of stopping at 1.

Can you help resolve this?

Looking at last action in logs I am not seeing an issue.

Album selected, it posted the images of the album then stopped

Looking at last action in logs I am not seeing an issue.

I am saying that the program will continue posting 1-2 more albums after the Maximum set 1 photo/album limit. The posting function continues as if the limit were 2-3, versus 1.

ok, strange, that didn't happen in the action I saw (last action in last logs you sent).

Must be something different in the album post that causes it to jump and not process the "if DONE > LIMIT then STOP"

Yeah it was in a few other actions, not necessarily the last ones.

I can confirm this happens with album posts. Any account I currently run with an album post will post more than the allotted maximum based on the settings shared in the OP.

Same way it happens in the sample logs I shared.

I don't understand how it can sometimes happen yes and sometimes no. The code either works or fails....

Are you running multiple threads?

IF you want to post 1 image, and use 3 threads, it could be, 3 threads start because at that point in time, no images posted, so 1 thread completes and stops ANY MORE threads starting, but the other 2 threads complete.

Could that be it?


Because the code looks like it works. After posting it tests max_num_wanted against num_posted and stops...
