Unable to translate Unicode character
I am trying to upload images from a folder with certain captions. Everything is marked as SUCCESSful until the last moment when it says
"Unable to translate Unicode character"
Is there anyway to fix this or have the instadub ignore the unicode character it can't translate?

Re: Unable to translate Unicode character
Do you know what exact caption isn't working?
If so post it up, if private, email

Captions such as "
" or "
"
I believe any caption with an emoji causes the problem

Re: Unable to translate Unicode character
I couldn't find a POST IMAGES action where this happens at the posting of the caption stage. I did see a post images action that had this error on LOGIN. IG showed a verification response and THAT somehow (no idea how) caused the unicode error.hubbahubba wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 5:56 pmI am trying to upload images from a folder with certain captions. This doesn't make any sense and I have never seen that ever.
Could you perform the following for me:
Please perform the following:
Open the program. Delete or pause all existing actions. If actions are already running due to autorun on startup, disable autorun at startup and restart the app. All actions must be waiting, then pause all (or delete)
Delete existing logs
HELP > LOGS > VIEW
delete all files in the folder that opens
Perform the action:
***
Goto the ACCOUNTS tab
Check the account
Right click the account and select DELETE COOKIES
Uncheck option to USE EXISTING COOKIES
click the link VERIFY:LOGIN
This will create an action and send it to the PROCESSING TAB
Goto the processing tab and click RUN. The action will run.
You can double click the action to view the logs , did that all go ok?
If not and you have the UNICODE ERROR, please submit logs: HELP > LOGS > SUBMIT
then send your logs ID - the first 4 numbers is sufficient (displayed after successful uploading of logs)
If the login DID succeed. Can you attempt to post a SINGLE image with an emoji caption that will cause the issue.
***
PLEASE NOTE: Do not perform other actions at the same time. Only use one thread. Do not run any actions after this action.
Then submit logs:
HELP > LOGS > SUBMIT
and let me know the LOGS ID (just the number part is sufficient)
I'm sure we can get this figured out, I just need to see clearer logs showing nothing but the actions that cause this issue

Martin

Re: Unable to translate Unicode character
I tried all the steps and everything was working fine until it was time to post the video. I was able to delete cookies and verify login, that ran smoothly. But then when using the video with an emoji in caption, once again it said "unable to translate unicode character" After this, I tried to run it one more time but a challenge was required. I open account through browser to confirm "This was me" (sign in location issue which has been happening more frequently lately. accounts lock and then i sign in just to say confirm its me who's signing in) Now I have to keep doing this every time I run an action. It says cant login challenge required. I open in browser and simply say yes its me.

Re: Unable to translate Unicode character
I'm able to open the account in browser fine but now anytime I try to sign in through bot it is saying
ERROR: Get Logged In Bot: "username" : Unable to translate Unicode character \uD83D at index 68 to specified code page.

Re: Unable to translate Unicode character
very very strange.
There appears to be some unicode in the cookies, when asking the operating system to log out the line, it has this error!
Looking at the profile, they do use lots of unicode / emojis in the real_name property, but that should not be an issue.
the problem with finding out exactly what is going wrong, is that the issue is caused by trying to log the value, so if it cannot be logged we cannot see what it is.
I'll and make some changes where I think it is happening, but at this stage is just a guess. I'll let you know when update ready

Martin

Re: Unable to translate Unicode character
update please
https://rootjazz.com/instadub/updatetesting.html
Clean logs: HELP > LOGS > DELETE
Run a clean login:
Goto the ACCOUNTS tab
Check the account
Right click the account and select DELETE COOKIES
Uncheck option to USE EXISTING COOKIES
click the link VERIFY:LOGIN
This will create an action and send it to the PROCESSING TAB
Goto the processing tab and click RUN. The action will run.
You can double click the action to view the logs and submit logs.
If that doesn't resolve your issue, please submit logs:
HELP > LOGS > SUBMIT
then send your logs ID - the first 4 numbers is sufficient (displayed after successful uploading of logs)
Try your POST VIDEOS action to cause issue
submit logs if issue persists

Re: Unable to translate Unicode character
I updated and was finally able to sign into the account by submitting email code. However when I ran post video action the unicode problem came up again and now the account is in verification loop again. Through browser I can still easily sign in and press "this is me." Also when the unicode problem appears It triggers this same checkpoint where I confirm again that "this is me"

Re: Unable to translate Unicode character
Using the same account I am able to repost videos from hashtags. The captions I used contained emojis and hashtags as well. Could the format of the videos I am trying to post be causing the problem? Everything is in mp4 format but I will scrape videos from instagram and see if it works
