Account token expired / invalidated by Twitter

Post by carlj »

Hi Martin -

I've 2 accounts running but one of them says Account token expired / invalidated by Twitter when I try to do any action.
I've regenerated the API keys but still have the same issue.
The other account is up and running.
**Quick question: both accounts are running under the same API keys. is this correct?
Thanks

That is strange, if you regen the keys it should work. Unless you have kept doing the same actions that got you the block in the first place.

If you were abusing twitter, doing things too fast, if you were spamming the same tweet / message / reply that will cause a new ban.

there is no correct way, one way is to have many accounts under a single API key, another is to use separate keys

Martin

the OAUTH token for that account to the API key was invalidated by twitter. You will need to reauthorise.

So everything working ok now?

Analyse what you were doing.
Do less
Do it slower
Don't repeat the same tweets / messages
Be less spammy (if applicable)
Be less annoying to other users (if applicable)
