Hi Martin,
I have to reinstall the operating system on my VPS and was wondering if there is anyway to keep my processes going as this is taking place?
I look forward to hearing.
Best Wishes,
Jesse

Re: VPS Reinstall
No. The program must be running, which will require the OS to be running which requires the machine to be running.
Your option would be to rent a 2nd VPS. Copy the database folder over, start this version. Reboot the 1st VPS

Re: VPS Reinstall
Thanks for the info, I've rented a second VPS. By the database folder do you mean the one that says "data" in the Tumbling Jazz folder in program files?
Cheers.
Cheers.

Re: VPS Reinstall
The most important folder is
%appdata%\rootjazz\tumbling jazz\database
note database
As long as you move that, "most" things will be copied over and *ALL* the important ones. However, a FULL reinstall do the following.
1) goto
%appdata%\rootjazz\tumbling jazz\
2) delete the "logs" folder
3) copy everything over (i.e.:
%appdata%\rootjazz\tumbling jazz\
%appdata%\rootjazz\tumbling jazz\database

Re: VPS Reinstall
Thanks for the heads up, I'm almost there just one final question.
Is the 'app data' folder created when installing TJ or does it only get generated once the app has been in use? I can not find any such folder on my new VPS however was able to locate it on my old one. If this is the case, where should I put the folder the folder?
Cheers

Re: VPS Reinstall
Glad you sorted it. appdata is a Windows folder, that allows your apps to store data
As you said it may be hidden, but you should always be able to open it via the token
%appdata% in the run / location bar
