Accounts Not following

Post by hasorandom »

hey martin!

I recently added 400 accounts into my manager

and i added proxies to them (high quality)

and i started the following function for them and

after the process stops it says under 30

when i first started it, it did successfully do 400

but now it is showing this
Total Processed: 22
Started: 08/06/2020 20:00 PM
Finished: 08/06/2020 20:36 PM
ID: 899ceac3-527c-40eb-8815-0bb21faa03c9
Action ran for: 0hr:35min:45s"

is their anything that i could do to fix this?

How are you finding profiles to follow? Are you running the same search over and over again?

Try a different search, does this work?

replicate the action, but use a different target profile for the search. Does this work? If so then the issue is with the original search term. If not, then something else is going on.

so if your original (not working )search is profile_1, try again with profile_2 as search input

what i did was initiate 400 threads and made a global proccess so it doesnt follow the same person,

but i have to run 400 threads instead of just 100

running 4acts per thread

in order to fully get a proccess of 400 done

Another way may be to run the scrape as a separate action to pull (n) results. Then use the results file in a single shared action to follow from file.

So if you have 400 results and you want to follow 50 per account a day, you need 20,000 results per day. So if you scrape 140k that will give you enough for a weeks worth of following.

With this many accounts, just performing the same search is not ideal as:
day1 scrape 0-20k
day2 scrape 0-20k ignore then scrape 20k to 40k to use
day3 scrape0-40k ignore then scrape 40k-60k to use.

So you really need to have multiple inputs, perhaps running more complex SEARCH BUILDERS

i.e.
scrape 100 profiles who posted a track in the last day with genre (x)
then get 200 followers from each
100 profiles x 200 followers = 20k

If your genre search is wide enough you should get new profiles each day so you can make your 20k that you need each and everyday

To do this, the custom search would be set up

TRACK SEARCH (200)
CREATOR / AUTHOR / PROFILE (whichever the term is) (200)

Note above I have set to grab 200 tracks, because perhaps some of the profiles who posted a track don't have 100 followers, so if you limit exactly you may not hit your total, also maybe some tracks were uploaded by the same profile, so give a bit extra to be sure you can hit your total. Same with followers, if you pull 200 each, those with more followers will cover those with less.

200x200 will give you a potential maximum of 40k, the search will stop when it hits your 20k, so if it happens earlier in teh search the search stage stops

Martin
