SoundCloud requires email verification to comment?

Since when did this happen? I noticed that SCM can still comment using unverified accounts, how long is this gonna last? Thanks Martin!

Soundcloud have been changing how unverified accounts work the last week or so. I knew they had removed the ability to add a profile image. I didn't know about comments.

Perhaps already created accounts are not effected, only knew?

Or maybe SCM bypasses the check at this time, but it won't last.

Actually, I made accounts using public proxies to leave comments and so far so good. Maybe my real IP address is blacklisted to cause the verification request?

It would be a huge inconvenience for even real soundcloud users to have to verify email address to leave comments, very bad move on their part.

Not really, most real users don't mind verifying signups, has become 2nd nature in my opinion. Only problem would be creating bulk accounts easily

Well, I think it finally happened, can't comment with unverified account by SCM anymore. Is there any other way around?

Same here. Commenting says "failed" no explanation.

Soundcloud are not allowing unverified accounts to comment any more.

There is no way around this (apart from using verified accounts)
