How to actually get plays?

Post by DigitalNinja »

Hi, What is the actual best way to get a lot of plays on tracks? Since most of the proxies fail 99% of the time, you can only get a few hundred a day if you're lucky. This is highly annoying. I know you cannot post proxies here (admin), due to reasons mentioned, however I really do need a solution for this.

Please let me know, along with the guidelines for follows without risk of ban (cant find that guide). Thank you

you need to find working proxies. SImply as that.

If one person uses a proxy, it is then "locked" by SC for X seconds. No one else can use it.

This means, that even if ALL the proxies found by SCM were working, then you still would fail because everyone else is trying to use the same.

So find your own that others are not using and that issue disappears.

Sorry but there is just nothing that can be done from here for you, I cannot find personal lists for each and every user of the software. But most people don't find their own lists, so if you put the effort in and find WORKING proxies, then you should fly along

Yea, but how do you find these working proxies? I just want a steady working flow of plays going through when I hit run.

If you want a steady, guaranteed flow of plays, you best bet is to purchase proxies.

A proxy, is just a computer connected to the internet that allows remote connections to route through it. The running of servers costs money, someone somewhere is paying for the machine that is a proxy. So if you are prepared to pay you can get blistering fast services that just work.

If you don't want to pay, you have to be prepared to accept what you can find.

Public Proxy Issues:

Plays increase slowness is due to soundcloud changes and the fact you are using the same public proxies as every other user.

Soundcloud now blocks many public proxies. They also limit the plays a proxxy can do in a time period.

So just as you can scrape free proxies, so can every other SCM user, so can soundcloud.

IF 100 people are trying to give plays at the same time. Soundcloud can see one IP trying to play 100 tracks. This is not realistic, so only one play will work, the others will fail.

The best way is to use private proxies. You are using the same free public proxies as everyone else, this causes problems. Ultimately, free proxies are free because they are not very good, you get what you pay for. So if you use free proxies, they will be slow and many will fail

Regarding proxies. There is general information on the forum

Why do plays / proxies not work, log out so many errors?

One way to improve them is to get a verified list

When you use a proxy to increase a track plays, if it succeeds it is logged to your LOGS folder with the name
XXXXX_proxy-success.txt
where XXXX is a timestamp i.e. 20130918_

So if you scrape 1000 proxies, then setup an action to increase any track by 500 plays, once the action has complete you can go to your logs folder via:
HELP > LOGS > VIEW FOLDER
then look for the XXXXX_proxy-success.txt and that file will list all working proxies used for the plays action.

You can see this in the video tutorial:
