plays / proxies not working

Plays do not work as good as they did. This is due to several factors

1) soundcloud not block widely known public proxies
2) Soundcloud does not allow the same IP to play tracks in quick succession.

The problem here is, just as SCM can scrape proxies, so can SC. Combined with the fact, all SCM users have the same default proxies.


Am not sure you know about proxies. There is information on the forum

But basically they are listed on websites, whether they work or not is a different matter, but these websites that list proxies are then scraped by the software. To see list of the sites, go to
SETTINGS > PROXIES > View Site URLs (or something like that)

If you know of any other websites that list proxies you can list them here

If you do find alternative sources for proxies, it gives you a head start over other users, as not every user will be hammering them. Another option is to pay for "private proxies" these will work and work fast, but can be pricey



When you use a proxy to increase a track plays, if it succeeds it is logged to your LOGS folder with the name
XXXXX_proxy-success.txt
where XXXX is a timestamp i.e. 20130918_

So if you scrape 1000 proxies, then setup an action to increase any track by 500 plays, once the action has complete you can go to your logs folder via:
HELP > LOGS > VIEW FOLDER
then look for the XXXXX_proxy-success.txt and that file will list all working proxies used for the plays action.

How can I improve the success rate of public proxies I use

Settings tab > proxy group> view sites URLs

Click this button it opens up a file that lists websites where the public proxies are scraped from.


Add websites that list public proxies there and the scraper will scrape more.

The problem is, if I add more sources, all SCM users use them, and then they are less effectively. Add sources yourself and very few others will be using them
