will I get banned if I turn on unsafe mode and I'm only following 40 people per day?

But to answer again.

If only doing 40 follows, why you want 5 threads for a single account?


If you have 5 actions running at hte same time with long pauses, that is different to 5 actions without pause. As long as you think what you are doing. Make sure the bot isn't doing too much too fast, you'll be fine.

But it's up to *YOU*. The program does what *YOU* tell it to. Your the "brain". The program is the muscle.

The Threads are for 5 separate accounts actually

IF all on the same IP that is not a great idea, as SC will see 5 accounts controlled by a single location. If on seperate IPs / proxies, then it doesn't matter, if you run 1 thread / 1000. They are seen from separate machines
