"network failure, wait try again" issue when posting tweets.

Post by spiekguo »

Firstly, thank you for your work!

I'm encountering the "network failure, wait try again" issue when using Twitterdub to post tweets while using a VPN. Below is the error code(The ******** represents my hidden password, please ignore it).

I have two questions:

1.Has my Twitter account been successfully logged in? The inability to post tweets is not due to my Twitter account not being logged in successfully, right?
2.I've seen other users attempting to resolve this issue by disabling antivirus software and firewall. I have already disabled my antivirus software and firewall (though perhaps not completely, as I'm unsure). Is disabling antivirus software and firewall the only way to resolve this issue?

when using Twitterdub to post tweets while using a VPN
Most likely the program is failing to route through your VPN.

The app cannot make a HTTP network connection, hence the message you receive.

What is the name of your VPN?

Try the setting:
HELP > CONFIG > CHINESE VPN

It doesn't matter if you are in China or not, the setting just modifies a setting that most Chinese users need to use (as they need to use a VPN, it really is a general VPN usage setting)

Restart the app and try the action again. If same issue, submit logs:
HELP > LOGS > SUBMIT

then send your logs ID - the numbers are sufficient (displayed after successful uploading of logs)

I succeeded!

HELP > CONFIG > CHINESE VPN
I had already checked this option, then I unchecked it, and checked it again.
I created a new Twitter account.

After that, I successfully tweeted. Actually, I'm not sure what I did wrong before, but the issue is resolved now.

Thank you very much for your assistance and patient replies!

ok, yes this option is often required by users using a VPN (especially popular Chinese VPN solutions). Thanks for reporting back you found a solution, hopefully this will help anyone else who has a similar issue
