1. Is it somehow possible to install SCM to cloud to some reasonable priced cloud hosting service? So that I could remote connect it e.g. with Windows 10 Remote Desktop Connection?
2. or to install it to some low power linux solution (like Raspberry Pi)...?
I am spending too much time (and electricity) on maintaining a physical Win10 server and am trying to figure out if it would be possible to get rid of it.

Re: SCM to cloud...?
The program is a windows desktop application. Any where you can run a supported Windows OS you can run the program.
A VPS web server in which you can run the program 24x7. A VPS is a remote machine you access and control via remote desktop, RDP / VNC
Cost will depend on your usage. But around $20 a month is sufficient for most users
I recommend Hostwinds (and use myself)

You can use the coupon

I just checked a windows unmanaged is $15 a month. There are cheaper options out there, but I haven't used so cannot recommend. I've been with hostwinds since 2010. Always been fine for me and have had no need to look into other server providers.
