Re: Reblogging video from RSS help
A test description worked fine for me (no missing ps). If can send me your EXACT description I will try with that
Re: Reblogging video from RSS help
So did my "assign rss elements" look ok ??
... and why was there no preview on the videos, they were just black with a play arrow in the centre, the preview is what pulls punters in, I need that preview.
This is exactly what I entered into the description field, I deleted whatever was there and entered.

This is different to what I tested, so let me check again on the missing Ps
Let me test it here and in the browser... and why was there no preview on the videos, they were just black with a play arrow in the centre, the preview is what pulls punters in, I need that preview.

Re: Reblogging video from RSS help
The missing Ps are caused by the HTML in the description <p>
As this is the code formating used to specify what RSS ELEMENT to extract, the program is thinking you are specifying the RSS <p> element, which does not exist in the feed. The program then assumes it is a mistake on the spec / or just that this element doesn't contain that element, so tries to remove it form the description and use what is left
Take away from this, you cannot include HTML in your RSS META

Testing the video URL as appears in the feed, TumJazz (as you said) is just a black box with an arrow. But it is the same if you post that video from the browser. As to why, you'd have to speak to tumblr, I don't know
