I would like to know if I am doing something wrong or if this is just a bug in the follow action.
Describe what is going wrong:
I am following users from a text file.
The file has around 24,000 users.
I have 21 accounts with the follows shared over all the accounts.
I've set the max follow to 2,000 (each account will follow 95 users)
My problem begins once SCManager reaches the daily limit for all the accounts.
It continues to running the action and gives the error:
Code: Select all
* IGNORE: **ACCT_NAME** made: 96 today, exceed daily limit: 95: using: **ACCT_NAME**
Daily limits are set globally on the SETTINGS tab, or on a per account basis on the ACCOUNT DETAILS form for that account
Because of this error, all of the repeated attempts are freezing some of my SC accounts and making them unable to log in.
Describe what was expected:
I would expect, once all of the accounts have reached their global limit OR Max Follow has been reached, the action will end and give a summary. I do not expect the action to try and process all the items in the list. Rather, I would expect it to pick up where it left off (after filtering out already processed items) repeating every X hours
Describe the steps to replicate your issue. A list of instruction steps.
Load list of users from text file
share follows over all accounts
set max items follow = 2000
Run Process
If you are setting any specific options for the action, detail those.
- Max Follow (2000)
- Random Pause (4~12)
- Repeat X Hours (24)
- Only follow once
- Ensure not following before attempting follow
- Share follows over all accounts (21)
*FILTER:
- User is active in the last 30 days
- Min # of Tracks (1)
I've submitted my logs ID: 69562
