Account creation proxy of email account

Does the account creation proxy of an email account needs to be used when creating a Tumblr Account for that email?

The email account is checked via the POP protocol. The account proxy and tumblr internation is via the HTTP protocol.

A proxy, which is a HTTP PROXY is not able to communicate along the POP protocol, so is NOT used when checking emails.

Last, When buying email accounts does it matter what ip or proxy (shared / private) they were created from?

Depends on the account / the provider.

Hotmail are quite easy going, gmail less so and if you log in from multiple IPs you can get the account locked requiring a manual login to unlock it.
