Hey man. So I updated to the most recent testing update as of this evening 11pm mountain time 12/30/2015.
When I go to tweet stream and start selecting the account to be used for the tweet stream search, it will open like normal and allow me to pick the account... but then once I check it and click ok the program freeze and it never uploads the account. It won't let me switch to any other actions and oddly enough, it let's me click icons on my desktop that are on the otherside of the program that I can't see that. In order to close the program I have to go to task manager and force close it.
Just figured I'd let ya know to see how to fix it. thanks man!
I didn't really submit any logs because I didn't think it'd show anything but if you want me to recreate it and send you logs just let me know.
Here are the screen shots.
first screen, I click "connection account". http://imgur.com/opYnaya
second screen, I check the account to be used and click ok: http://imgur.com/pojcSBW
third screen: from this point I am frozen. I can not access any of the other tabs and it will allow me to click throw the program. This is when I go to task manager (Ctrl+alt+delete) and force close the program. http://imgur.com/cy4WWsC
Thanks Martin, Have a great New Years man!

Re: After Update, Program Freezes when selecting account for tweet stream
open app
stream tweets
select connection account (Via pop up form)
when return back to main app, the label "no account selected" remains and the app is frozen....
Just tested on two machines, not happening here.
Only thing I can see that could explain it is, this account does NOT have Oauth tokens, so the dialog box saying "account not authorised cannot be used" is appearing, but is hidden behind a window, can you ALT+TAB around, minimise the windows / show desktop in windows, click back to app etc to try and force any dialogs to the front
have also added some debugging for the next build update

I don't understand how you want me to fix it then Martin, I can't use the program until this is fixed. I'm guessing you will be running into these problems with many other windows 10 users.
Just go buy a brand new toshiba laptop and you will have the same issues I am having.

Re: After Update, Program Freezes when selecting account for tweet stream
I'm really bummed I can't get the tweet stream feature to work anymore. It was after the last 2 updates that it started to do this. It's really weird.
I was using this feature until we got the follow/like/retweet feature to work again but now I can't get this feature to work so it basically puts me on the sidelines again. I honestly want to fix this feature more than any of the others now since Tweet Stream at least worked for the time being and gave us more time to properly troubleshoot the other issues with the follow/like/retweet features.
I see from the update testing page that it's best not to switch back to the old version. How can I get this running again? I swear all my major problems started popping up after the windows 10 update. Do you think that has much to do with it?

Re: After Update, Program Freezes when selecting account for tweet stream
As above, the only thing which looks like it could explain this, is that there is a hidden dialog, did you try the above suggestions?TwitterNub wrote:I don't understand how you want me to fix it then Martin, I can't use the program until this is fixed. open the select a connection account
select account
ok
<here you freeze>
try and ALT+TAB (hold alt and press tab to bring to the front other programs, repeat and cycle through programs)
minimise all apps
bring to front twitterdub
On selecting an account, nothing happens, no calls to twitter, just the account is linked to memory to be used. As above a check is made to ensure the connection account has an oauth token, if NOT, then a dialog appears saying so. *IF* this gets hidden, then you would experience exactly what you are describing. Hence the suggestions to try and force it to the front.
Does this happen with all selected accounts or just some?
The update with the logging will be uploaded shortly which should indicate definitively if what I suggest is the cause or not

You can back up your database and try it. From memory, if you are only going back 2-3 updates, it should be fine *THIS IS NOT A GUARANTEE AND JUST I THINK THAT PERHAPS MAYBE IT COULD BE OK*TwitterNub wrote:

No, it shouldn't have made a differenceI swear all my major problems started popping up after the windows 10 update. Do you think that has much to do with it?

OK, sorry it took me a minute to get back to you, I have been really busy IRL.martin@rootjazz wrote:As above, the only thing which looks like it could explain this, is that there is a hidden dialog, did you try the above suggestions?

The update with the logging will be uploaded shortly which should indicate definitively if what I suggest is the cause or not
Step 1: I went ahead and updated my version of the program to the version you linked me above in your last post on this thread.
Step 2: I went ahead and verified my accounts by doing a "verify login" action, It's been a few days so I wanted to make sure everything was good. Everything is good still except for 2 accounts which I have addressed in another thread. 49 out of 51 verified.
Step 3: cleared my logs so I could send them to you if needed.
step 4: click tweet stream icon
step 5: click "connection account" icon
At this point, the program disappears and I end up on desktop, the icon in my tray is gone as well, Its as if the program as closed.
I then close any window up to show my desktop and it will be the last window open, no icon in the tray still. It's weird how it disappears and then you find it again by closing your windows.
step 6: select any account, I have not noticed any single account working better than another, it seems to happen on every account really.
step 7: click save.
at this point, it goes back to the original "tweet stream" page on the bot. Again the program still doesn't show in the tray, and the account I have selected does not show. It says "No account selected".
step 8: I try Alt+Tab as you advise, the program doesn't show on this list either, It allows me to access any other page but the bot page, it's same as the tray basically, like the program is closed, or at least it looks that way.
step 9: I use CTRL+ALT+Delete to close the program. It shows as normal on the list and closes near instantly, as normal.
OK. At this point, I am going to try a bunch of different accounts just to be sure, following the exact same process I have listed above. I have downloaded the new version, not sure if you can see the error yet or not. Would you like me to send logs?
Thanks Martin. I'll message in a few in regards to the other accounts, and then start focusing on the other issues for this evening.
