This is not happening for me.

Replies are only flagged up as replies IF is an actual reply. Not whether the tweet has replies to it. Looking at the code, I cannot see how it is possible for what you report to happen, unless the tweet is actually a reply.

Is it possible the tweets you thought were original DID have replies themselves, but they were a reply as well

Ok, I've found the issue. Not sure what is causing it yet, but I can see what is happening.

I checked it.
This is not good.

For example, in the case of https://twitter.com/cnnbrk/likes, the oldest https://twitter.com/cnnbrk/status/2333746735 is selected.

Also, if there are 100 tweets and you want to select the latest tweets, search 100 times.

I want a function that prioritizes new tweets and ignores replies to tweets.
Or is there something like filter that only searches tweets within 2 days?
