Location Filter

Post by lombard »

Hi Martin,

Under 'user filter' (appears in various tabs, e.g. follow tab) there is an option to filter by location. I can;t get this to work however. If I enter any words and hit save, the filter never gets saved. If I go back into the filter the words have disappeared and the follow action does not recognise them.

Can this be fixed?

What I am trying to do is follow people who follow one specified account, but also have a certain location or city listed on their profile. Is there any other way of doing this? E.g. custom search? or do I have to use the filter?

If you need anything else let me know.

Thanks for this. Filter is working I think.

It does seem to need a 100% exact match. Could I make a feature request that the app looks for the search term you enter anywhere in the string of text in the Location field?

For example I want to be able to filter for users in London, so I enter the term 'London' in the filter. At the moment the Location field of the user needs to read exactly 'London'. I would like it to return a positive result in any case where 'London' is in the Location field, e.g.

London, United Kingdom
West Hampstead, London
London, GB
Greater London

Would all return a positive result and be followed by the app.

Good suggestion, will look at adding an option.
