Processing - Waiting

Post by tahoe012 »

Martin,

I created 1 reblog task for one tumblr: example.tumblr.com
In the main dashboard settings i set max Follows, Likes, Reblogs and unchecked Process Single Account at a time
On the Reblog screen: Chose Account, Design (search term, Random Pause: 1/9, Max Reblogs 10/0, Repeat every 24, 5 repeats, schedular (todays date), the 5 check boxes for reblog items, queue items, etc... all checked, Click Reblog, Check Processor and it's Waiting. What is it waiting for?

Another Task for sale blog - Liking Task has been running several days just fine.

If you want to run multiple actions in the processor at the same time, you must have enough THREADS specified.

So to run 2 actions, you need at least 2 threads. For 10 actions, you need 10 threads. Otherwise the processor will work as a queue, processing one action at a time then on completion moving to the next

Thank you Martin,

I found that even though i have 3 threads for 3 actions and set for run automatically - they still went to Waiting mode. However, if I right click on the waiting task the drop down has RUN Now... click that and the process begins running.

Please screenshot the processing tab so I can see this

Make sure actions are not scheduled

Make sure actions didn't run and end quickly and rescheduled (columns will show this)

Double check single action processing is off (restart app and see how it loads - you must click SAVE for settings to be saved)

I have attached screenshots so you can see settings for the Main Settings Page, Reblog, Follow, Like and Processing Screens.

Each action will do some processes than go into waiting mode for very long time - so long i think it essentially has stopped so I go to the drop down and hit Run Now again to keep things moving along.

The objective is not "mass liking or mass anything" just keeping the blog active with a few likes, follows, reblogs a day and soon will learn how to use this software to add pictures, videos, content, etc...

What is the difference between # Max of Likes and # of Requests.

So, for this example I have selected: Time Period: 1 Day, Max # of Likes: 20, Repeat Every 24 hours, After: Unchecked - so to create an ongoing campaign of liking about 20 a day, Repeat # of Requests: 3. what does # of Requests mean?

Look at the columns:
created: 20th Jan
Processed: 20th Jan
Scheduled (next time will run): 21st Jan (later today)

The actions ran, completed, rescheduled for the next time to run based on your repeat time (24 hours).

All looks correct

Those links are NOT actually images (as in image files) they are web pages that contain the image, so the img tag won't work :) But the links are fine

Where do you see #requests?

#max likes will mean the program goes 10 likes.

Not sure what you mean by max_requests

So, for this example I have selected: Time Period: 1 Day, Max # of Likes: 20, Repeat Every 24 hours
Time period is just a way to automatically set the PAUSE values

so if you set MAX LIKES = 24
and TIME PERIOD = one day
It will divide 24 likes over 24 hours so one like per house. But all it does is change the pause values, so you need to set (n)max_likes first, then set time period

, After
: Unchecked - so to create an ongoing campaign of liking about 20 a day, Repeat # of Requests: 3. what does # of Requests mean?
ahhh, I think that should say # of REPEATS

so if you specify to repeat every 24 hours
and set #repeats = 7, it will repeat every day for a week (7 days) then stop repeating

Martin
