Not entirely sure I understand. But if the post is a link, it is not an image, thus won't be downloaded.
But more information may help to understand

What i mean is i want to download images from a particular post

If the post contains an image in the code it should download.
But you said it was a link. A link is not an image so won't show. It may in the browser if tumblr is doing some JS trickery, but for the image downloader to work it MUST include the image in the html source file.
But without the information in the link above I provided I Cannot really say, as you haven't given examples / logs / links etc showing exactly what you mean. So I am just making assumptions here.
