Settings/ Proxy Scrape URLs

Post by Just A User »

Hey Martin, Hope all is well.

I have a question. On the settings tab/ Proxy scrape URLs
I see a list with different free proxy provider. The first entry is:
<removed>

Is this a list you filterd yourself?
(logs/proxy_success)

Regards

It's a file updated throughout the day by running automated scrapes.

removed the link, so isn't picked up by other scrapers. The more users of proxies, the worse it is for everyone

My fault! I'm really sorry for posting the link.

I'm always do the same every 4-5 days and
I was wondering why i'm getting the same
proxies again and again.

For boosting a few tracks per week 500 plays +/-
per track those public proxies are fine.

Thank you

Don't worry, it is known and in the app in clear text and the page isn't protected, but still...

That page is updated with scrapes and access to paid services that provide us with "supposed" working public proxies, but.... well fact is, you cannot expect quality with public / free proxies.

If the proxies are ALWAYS the same, then that shouldn't be, they should update at some point. I've checked the server logs and the file was last updated a few hours ago, so that is what is being returned to us. But I will check it out (been years since checked tbh) and make sure all is working correctly on the scrapes here...
